- Work permits are required for foreign workers who enter Canada to work on a temporary basis and ease skill shortages in Canada.
- If you are currently residing in a country outside of Canada and are wishing to apply for a work permit, there are several mandatory documents that you must have ready for submission.
- If you are currently residing in Canada and are wishing to apply for a work permit, you will have to satisfy all of the conditions for an individual applying for a work permit outside of Canada (refer to above) with additional steps that need to be taken.

Features of work visa:
• Foreign workers who want to work in Canada must hold a work permit issued by the Canadian government.
• A Canadian work permit must be obtained prior to entering Canada.
• After entering Canada, if you lose your job or change your job for some reason, you must apply again to IRCC
• Normally, the working permit issued by IRCC is valid for 1 year, and after the expiry date, the permit extension procedure can be directly handled locally.
• Foreign workers who work in Canada and meet the application requirements can be transferred to permanent residence.
• While working in Canada, foreign workers can apply for medical insurance, unemployment insurance, etc.
• While working in Canada, your spouse and children can apply for a visitor visa to join you in Canada.
